to write you down,
for you are bigger, and richer,
than letters, words,
Poems –
and your eyes are fuller, deeper
than wells, space
and infinity – you
are higher than time
and younger than thunder
forever –
and the wrinkle in
your laugh
has stretched into a
strong thin ribbon
that I wear always
around my throat
that makes me still remember
what
is most
terrible – the exquisite
that nobody else’s face
fits
