What I Most Want My Grandchildren To Know

By Brenda Scantlebury, October 17, 2019 — As I think about this statement posed above, I think about the years my life has brought me from and where my life has led me to so far.

I want my children and grandchildren to know as a person, also as a parent, that I give to them what I had been taught and learned over the years.

My parents imparted values, good morals, responsibility, and love for self, also others.

I tried to give these things also to them. The God-given talent for art, music, culture and dance.

The desire to learn and get an education, to be a business owner, and deploy others. I endeavored to be the best example I could be so that they (my hope) would be: Lovers of God, be good people, and accomplish the God Plan for their lives.

This is what I want them most to know I did the best that I could do to bless their lives.

Amen.
