What a Thanksgiving!

By Marj, November 22, 2019 — Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. The pumpkin pie after dinner has to be homemade with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. The gathering of the family and everyone dresses so nice. You have to be sure to take a picture. Doing this every year is fun because you can see how everyone has changed over the years. The most important part of Thanksgiving is the turkey.

I remember one year a long time ago, we were having Thanksgiving at my house. Everyone was so stressed because it was at our house this year, and 12 people were coming. My husband and I got up early in the morning and started cooking. Since it was just us two and 12 mouths to feed. We were working so hard to make sure there was enough. After hours, the table was set, all the food was ready, including the turkey. The turkey looked great, but it was done before the guests arrived. We decided to let it sit out while we drove to get my grandparents before people started arriving. When we got back, we walked in and saw that all was left on the turkey was the bones. We knew what happened, the dog had eaten every bit of it! We could do nothing but laugh. It was such a funny moment for everyone. Eventually, we cooked another one and it was delicious. What a thanksgiving!
