The Power of Forgiveness

By Delores Wilson, April 11, 2019 — It was almost ten years before I found a church home. During that time I visited many churches by invitation of friends or on my own. Me and a close friend, we dedicated our lives back to the Lord. We both were seeking a place to worship, and fellowship. Like myself, she was raised in the church and became disillusioned because the preachers were not lifting up Jesus. So from 5 years old until 14 years old, I was in church every Sunday. During my abandonment of seeking God, I acquired much material and had friends of prestigious positions. But I felt empty. My friend who was prestigious expressed the same thing. One Friday we decided to go to the Messianic Judaism synagogue in Conshohocken. The person that was to give her testimony was from the Netherlands and her family helped the Jewish people that was fleeing from the Nazi persecution in Germany. She and her sister was together when her sister died. Her family was killed earlier in the Nazi camp for aiding the Jewish people.
After the war Corrie was asked by the Nazi officer would she forgive him? Corrie said “Yes, I will forgive you.” That testimony spoke to me in volumes.
