By Joan Romaniello, October 16, 2019 — I was off from school this day. I was with my older sister and she brought her two daughters. She could not go to the doctors by herself with the two babies, so I went with her. Then we had to go to the drugstore. Working at the counter was a really handsome fellow, and he started talking to my sister. I went back to the drugstore a few times because he really caught my eye. I was so nervous to talk to him but finally built myself up to do it. He finally ended up asking me out and I had to tell my parents that I already knew him to be able to be allowed to go, even though I literally just met him. 56 years later and here we are!
