By Ruth Rolnick, April 14, 2019 — My brother used to take me to the movies back in the day when it was a nickel a picture. We would call it “The Dump.” Everyone use to run around with candy and jelly apples. When we went we saw three pictures all for a nickel. It was unbelievable! My brother used to want to leave at some point and I never wanted to go home because it was always at the part that I liked. They also would have prizes with raffles and tickets. I was there so much that I would win so many prizes. I won an iron, a trunk, and different dishes. That would be our excitement for the weekend
