By Hazel Nurse, March 14, 2019 — What a wonderful spring temperature filled the air as I trudged along to the Senior Center!
This weather has been a real treat, not only today but in days past! Just think: only a few years ago, the bitter cold snow and ice kept many seniors inside for two weeks straight! For one, this included me!
However, this warning from some physicians says, “After you reach a certain age, avoid snow, ice, bitter cold, extreme heat, and rain!!”
I’m glad that this warning didn’t ring true because we as children would not have obeyed it at all!
It would mean no sled rides, no snowball fights, no ice skating on the pond, no shoveling of snow and most of all, no snowmen!!
