Sea Shells by the Seashore

By Katie Zawacki, April 3rd, 2019 — It was our first day in Mexico, and the first day is always the best because you’ve got the whole trip ahead of you. No sooner had we checked into the hotel we had set up camp on the beach. I sat on my towel and looked over the clear water and bright sand, felt the breeze on my face and the fresh smell of the ocean. I couldn’t help but smile as I watched my husband and son throwing my grandchildren around in the waves, they’re faces wild with smiles. And my granddaughter and her mother were combing the beach for shells, and I loved watching the intensity as she bent over to pick up a shell that had caught her eye before continuing on like her whole world was the patch of sand beneath her. Everyone was here, and I knew it was going to be a great trip.
