Pray

By Joan Bunting, November 7, 2019 — Did you pray and thank God for keeping you safe through another night? Before you left your home this morning, did you ask Him for traveling mercies? After you arrived here, did you thank Him for getting you here safely?

There’s a log of prayers needed in these perilous times [with] the fires in California, the floodings after tropical storms, mothers, fathers, irate children killing family members. And what about the children getting hit by cars and the drivers just keep going? The ten-year-old boy that was hit, the driver got out of his car looked at him, asked was he alright, got back in his car, and drove off? And that’s not all. Very young children [are] getting shot and killed and the bullets were not necessarily meant or aimed at them — bullets that come through windows where children and their families are sleeping.

I know that God is in control and He knows what’s going to happen before it happens. Of course, He could have prevented a lot of these disasters if it was in His will. But I believe that perhaps maybe it will change the mind and hearts of the family members left behind and will change their way of living and their way of life for the better.

There’s nothing really we can do about what’s happening now because it’s been predicted in the Bible in so many words.
The only thing that we can do is pray. Prayer helps us to be able to accept these horrible happenings. Of course, it hurts to see innocent children and adults go through these happenings but pray helps us to endure the pain.
PRAY.
