By Frances Bryce, December 31, 2021 — I have one of those hand muppet things … Muffs! This is out of a fur kind of thing. I guess it’s mink or something. My mother-in-law gave it to me.
One of the memories I have with fur, I was with my daughter. When she was very young and we were at some store and they had all these furs in the window — minks and all kinds — and I said, “Oh, aren’t those gorgeous!” And she said, “Only on the animals.” I never bought a fur. So later when she got up she said, “Mom, you know they raise minks for coats, so if you really want it,” and I said, “I never forgot that when you said that.” And the way she said it: “Only on the animals.”
