By Martha Milliken, November 6, 2020 — One of the best days of my life was when my granddaughter was born. I was in the room and helped her deliver. My daughter was only 14 years old. She needed help, and I am glad I was in the right state of mind to help her and help raise her.
My family had bad luck in 2014. I lost my father, mother, sister, brother, and daughter. Thank God I was financially OK to bury them. My deceased brother sexually abused me.
Another one of the best days of my life was when my husband asked me to marry him — after all, we have 4 kids together.
Another best day was when after rehabilitation, I woke at New Courtland and still can’t figure out why I was given this opportunity.
