Old School Prevails

By Delores Wilson, December 5, 2020 — After church service, we as a group of friends and sisters in the Lord decided to have dinner at Bahama Breeze. It is located in the King of Prussia area. Sometimes a few of us will frequent the movie [theater] that is nearby. There are so many eateries to choose from not to mention the shopping mall. We had a wonderful fellowship laughing and being the older teenagers.

When we finished our dinner, we decided to check out DSW Shoe Outlet. The excuse was to walk down the food we had eaten. I navigated the store immediately. I didn’t see any shoe that caught my attention so I and two other ladies decided to sit in the mall and wait while the other ladies were still shopping.

As we sat, I noticed two little boys, one about 5 years old and the other not over 10. The mother was close behind them and the father carrying the baby in his arms. The family sat in the area near us. I noticed the boys were being boys. However, when the mother spoke, her diction and tone were so on point the boys paid attention. The father gave the boys the knowing look as to say without words, “I back her up.” I listened and watched the interaction and was impressed to witness old school teaching projecting into the culture of today.
