By Mary, April 24, 2019 – I grew up in Newark in the Ironbound section. I loved high school and was an “A” student. Some of the subjects I studied were French, grammar and history. I did not do so well at math but after high school most of my jobs involved bookkeeping! I worked at Prudential with the handwriting specialists. People would handwrite letters to the company about their insurance benefits and sometimes people pretended to be someone else to obtain insurance benefits. I gave my opinion, yes or no, about whether the handwriting belonged to the person with the insurance policy.
