Miracle

By Delores Wilson, July 7, 2011 — My friend was picking me up at 8:30 to attend the play at Lancaster, PA called Jesus. She, my friend, was coming from the boondocks of Philly (meaning the suburbs) to pick me up who lives middle way of Philly and my other friend lives further downtown. I received a call at 8:15 that she was running late because of heavy traffic. I was told she would be late so about 9:00 was the new time. The play started at 11:00, as it turned out, she was at my house at 9:45 after she had picked up my other friend first.

The play Jesus started at 11:00. The door closed soon after the play began and we [knew we] would have to wait for the doors to reopen. Well, as we were going up the road so to speak, we were laughing and talking and having a great time.

As it was, I was not looking at the speedometer. The closer we got to our destination, a Sunday driver appeared. How the driver, my friend, swerved around the car, we had a great laugh. Then suddenly, a truck that looked like a slow turtle was in front of us and we began to laugh and joke about it. Suddenly we were in front of the truck.

When we got there, the parking lot was empty when we arrived and we were ushered into our seats just in time to see the beginning of Jesus.
