Microwave Sickness

By Michael Tseui, May 30, 2019 — In 2016, US officials stationed overseas started showing signs of a mysterious illness. The list of symptoms included headache, sensitivity to the light, sleep cognitive problems and nosebleeds. Many heard strange sounds that seemed to come from inside their heads. I had reviewed the reports from doctors, and summed it up as a type of brain trauma but no one had the answers for the cause. In an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, Mark Lenzi, a State Department security officer who worked in the US Consulate in Changzhou, China, said that he and his wife began to suffer after hearing strange sounds in their apartment. For some reason, China was using an energy weapon. Lenzi told 60 Minutes he believed it was radiofrequency energy from microwave radiation exposure which means oxidative stress and mitochondrial damage.

Dr. Beatrice Golomb, a professor of medicine at the University of California, San Diego and researchers who wrote [about how] drugs and environmental toxins harm health, when she heard about the diplomat’s symptoms, her first thought was microwave exposure. I am very interested in her research. Her outlining had caught the attention of State Department officials eager for a meaningful explanation. She wrote that one major reason why the diplomatic illness suggests a microwave cause is the auditory symptoms, they experienced hearing loss and tinnitus.

Our body is electric – our brain is electric – our heart is electric – and our nervous system is electric. So, think [about the] microwave oven. Also, can radiation exposure of thermal levels cause harm? So far the manufacturer’s document states that “they are safe.”

The good news is that whatever the case, it no longer seems to be an issue [and the] diplomats have recovered from their symptoms. There is reason to think that this may actually be due to brain swelling, to think that may actually be “some ease, patients became so severe at one point that it actually pushed his eyeball out of its orbit.”

But part of the confusion is that some researchers insist it doesn’t exist. Studies primary connected with industry, for example, aim to show that the condition is merely psychosomatic and not via valid medical concern.

We all agreed microwave radiation can affect any cell in the body, but its importance on the brain is particularly worrisome. It often makes its way in through the ear because there is not a skull strong enough to protect against it.
