By Catherine Ferri, November 20, 2019 — Ohh, when I met Ernie, oh boy… well, it started when I was with my cousin who was visiting from New York and she wanted to go to the beach, but because I want not near any beaches, I told her, “How about we go to the swimming pool nearby instead?” So she agreed and when we got to the swimming pool, we set out stuff down and we went swimming. When I went to my stuff after a while, I see that this man came over and took my towel. I said to him, “How dare you, that’s my towel!” He was with a group of friends, 3 guys including him, and he said, that he was sorry and then asked for my name and number. I told him my name and I gave him my phone number, but I just gave it to him, I didn’t really like him at that moment, but when I got home that day I was caught by surprise because my home phone rings and it was Ernie. I answer the phone and he says, “ Hi, it’s your swimming pool buddy,” and then he asked me on a date.
At first, I was hesitant, I really didn’t know the man, but I went on the date and I started to fall in love with him after a while. After we got married and we had kids. Oh, he was such a good man to me and my kids. I loved him very much.
