Losses

By Irene, February 11, 2016 — I have two stories.

One is about my mom and dad. They would get into arguments sometimes, pretty heated for a few years. But they were married for 39 years before he died in the 1970s. I know my dad would die for his family. People tried to do matchmaking for my mom, but she always resisted. They were the best parents ever.

My other close relationship is a friendship with a man I met while I was working in the deli department at Shoprite. He offered me some work for him, and asked if I was allergic to cats. I am, but that wasn’t too important. We became friends for about 12 years. He was a great little guy, but developed dementia at the end.

I’m still in pain from the losses of the best parents and the best friend ever.
