I Miss Hugging People

By Eleanor Kazdan, May 21, 2020 — During [the COVID-19 pandemic, there are] pros and cons that every day [are] different for me. Sometimes I feel very sad, and [wonder] when is this going to end? Other times, I think that I’ve had a great day. I miss hugging people. I miss hugging my friends and family and even total strangers, and my grandchildren. On the other hand, I’ve been going out to eat less, eating [in a] more healthy [way], and I’ve been connecting with people I haven’t seen in a long time. We’ve been having family Zoom dinners with my daughter in Toronto and my family here — my son and his family here. Yeah, so it’s an exercise in resiliency but it’s hard.
