By Mrs. Neely, February 20, 2019 — It seems like it’s been forever, but when I first met Edwin it was because he had a sister that was in the same classes as me at school. I wouldn’t say I went after Edwin, but I didn’t push him off! We started dating when I was in high school and he was in the service. When he would come back from service, we would go on dates. We may or may not have written love letters while he was away. I refuse to answer any answer that might incriminate me! We wrote some letters. Let’s put it that way. We sort of eloped. He was in the service and didn’t have much time, and so we took the quick way out. We went to the big place in Rossville, Georgia. That’s were everybody went back then. He was great!
