Happy Retirement Custom Worker

By Barbara E. Garnett,  June 18, 2019 —I thought by the time I retired I’d have it made.  By this, I meant less bills to pay, home supplies and needs under control.  No repairs! I’d already had them done.  I would cut down on helping people and listening to their problems. There would be additional food in the freezer and fridge.  I must have been dreaming with my eyes wide open.  Am I alone (on this)?

Saturday, a pipe broke in the kitchen and then I had to get a “J” pipe replaced under the bathroom sink.  On Wednesday, I will be having the faucets in the bathtub and sink area changed.  Soon I will be replacing the roof and having the back wall of the house pointed. So much for having it made.  Money, money, money and more money! However, I did plant a small flower and veggie garden.  Because you are my friends, I will tell you, I am only going to do a project only as a weekly task.  I’ll get back to keeping my house in order.  I will check the DIY programs, the computer, books, and magazines.  I am going to be very busy.  Please forgive me for not being a social butterfly.  And to add to all of that my primary doctor is leaving town for California!!
