Haiku

By Norman Cain, December 10, 2020 —

I.
The past doesn’t budge
It waits forever in a
timeless vacuum
II.
I am not akin
To a treacherous wind that
refuses to change
III.
In infancy we
are like tadpoles, tadpoles that swim
toward the future
IV.
Pregnant clouds hover
Above, and send life sustaining
Water to Earth
V.
We life surfers ride the rough
Waves of existing
as long as we can
