Good Day to You

By Clarissa Tate, April 13, 2017 — Good day to you, it’s been a while since I’ve last been here. My job doesn’t allow for this time schedule. Public school is out this week and I took advantage to come out. Well, let’s see what I’m going to share today. It’s my mother’s birthday, Rest in Peace Mom. She would have been 89 years old. I had the most wonderful and kind mother. She was a great mom. I was fortunate to have been raised by a woman that loved God, so at an early age, she took my sister and me to church and started us in a life of Christ.
Now fast forward, growing up becoming an adult and all, you kind of stray a bit, but having the foundation instilled, the Blessing became a full circle. For that, I thank my mom for the early intro to the church. That’s the kind of woman she was. She wanted her children to be well rounded, both she and my Dad.
Words cannot express how much I love and miss her. She’s definitely with me at all times. When I open my mouth, cook, look in the mirror, there she is. Thank you, Mother, for all that you’ve done. You will forever be in my heart, soul, and Spirit. So grateful to you. See you on the other side, God willing.
