Far Out Science

By Elliot Doomes, Philadelphia PA, July 18, 2019  — I went the other day to the doctor’s office, but the lights went out so I didn’t stay. I might go, but they always send me to the same doctor and never give a clear diagnosis.

I’m on full signs with whatever doctors can do to benefit mankind, but I think with my limited knowledge of human anatomy. I perceive that science has gone a little too far. Right now, they’re contemplating putting devices in the human being to have a computer brain. The brain would be able to access and store knowledge. I saw that on TV either this morning or last night. They weren’t talking about testing them on animals. This guy claims he can actually do this. I forgot the scientist’s name, but he was quite specific about what he can do and not in the distant future. He’s talking about he’s ready now.

People can be in my understanding, have robotic potential. If we can put something within the brain that can grasp knowledge, that you were unaware of before they activate what they put in you. And to me, this is telling me that we can be made ham robots so to speak. I mean this guy actually said he can do this now, that he actually tested this on people.

I, for one, would not want to be that smart! I would like to acquire knowledge the hard way, by examination, evaluation, and education which I think would lead me to a reasonable conclusion. I would rather use a cell phone to get information than get something put in my head. There are certain things that I wouldn’t want to know, that could potentially do me more harm than good because I believe that knowledge, without experience, can be very destructive. For instance, I know that an airplane can fly twice the speed of sound, but cannot fly one. If you put me in a plane, even if I start it, there’s no way in hell I can fly it without killing everyone on it. That’s why knowledge without wisdom or experience when given to you by someone else can be destructive. I didn’t know how you feel about it, and it may sound like a bunch of nonsense, and I went from one document to the next filling it out with random thoughts, but that’s my take on it.
