Death in the Family

By Norman Cain, May 5, 2019 — When I was coming through the 2nd floor lounge in route to Best Day, I was informed by a woman – perhaps a distant relative, from the same area of South Carolina as my parents, my cousin Dorelen had passed. Needless to say, I was and am still devastated. Last September at a family reunion in upstate New Jersey, I was informed that Dorelen’s bother Harry Lee had succumbed. Out of the 3 siblings, only one is left, Betty. Harry Lee, Dorelen and Betty – my 3 cousins on my mother’s side who were the grounds of my mother, father, sisters Aunt Ellen. They lived on the farm and the end of a long dirt road. I messed by the survivors with my material grand parents on the middle of the long dirt road. While I am in shock, in regards to Dorelen’s death, I still have Harry Lee to sustain me.
