By Mrs. Carson, April 3, 2019 — When I was ten years old I went to a camp hosted by Carbide Company, that my dad worked for, for employees’ kids. I went thinking I would not really enjoy it, but found out I loved it! I got to play in a play at camp in the lead role as Lady Guinevere! They picked wild flowers to make me a bouquet and crown for my costume. The play was called Knights at the Round Table. My parents got to come and I was so happy they got to see me all dressed up. It was a thrill to play a lead role, which led to me being a junior camp counselor the next year. Camp was almost 70 years ago, but I remember this time keenly.
