By Joan Bunting, January 8, 2019 — You know, Eleanor’s story about her singing voice reminded me of something that happened to me a while back. I was in the Union Baptist Church choir and was chosen to sing a solo for their next concert. I invited my 20-year old daughter to come see me sing, but afterwards she said, “I thought you said you had a solo today.”
I said, “I did have a solo today!”
She said, “Which song?”
And when I told her she said, “That was you? I thought that was a man singing!”
