Working at the Country Fair

By Kathleen Whitford, July 26, 2017 — I worked a lot of different jobs. The country fair was one. Many stories come with them. One of them was you couldn’t heat a sub up until you paid for it, and this guy was arguing with me because he had to pay for it first. He was saying, “I’m not paying for it until I taste it,” so I took it out of the microwave and threw it in the garbage. He said, “Hey, that’s my sandwich,” and I said, “No it’s not, because you didn’t pay for it.” It was little things like that. I remember it was like family there.
