My Working Family

By Blanche Bowers, August 2, 2017 — I raised two good kids. They were productive in society. My son was a Master of Ceremonies at  Junior’s Last Laugh for quite a long time. I had a basic education I went on to make a living.  I mainly worked at a printing company, the union printing company in Erie,  we had a big press which would handle the ballots, and if the girl wasn’t there to help at the press, I would go down and flip these big sheets of paper and they will go through the press. It was quite an interesting job. I wore many hats there. My daughter worked for an architect. I had counted 8 grandchildren, but then I lost track after that. They lived in Erie. I’m sure they’ll end up in the service too. They’re in their late teens, early twenties. We’re having our 87th family reunion down in Franklin. I used to go to a lot of them, not so much in the last 2-3 years. Travel is hard on me.
