Out in the country back home we went out to my grandma’s house (my cousins and I). So our boyfriends picked us up there and my Granny said, “You all better be back before 12:00am.” And we said, “OK granny.” So we all went out uptown to the teenage place where the teens hang out. Oh boy, we had a great time with our boyfriends. But then I said, “Oh my Lord it’s after midnight. Granny is going to get us.” So my cousin Alice said we all gonna get in trouble and Memia (my other cousin) said that we are going to be in big trouble. Miss Alice said, though, that she wasn’t gonna be in trouble because when we get there she was gonna be the first one out of the car. So, we said fine you do that (so she did). Next thing I know, here comes granny with a broom stick coming to the car and she was stepping in all that mud and you should have seen us getting out of that car! She was also beating our butts with this broomstick as we were falling in the mud and everything! That Alice was standing on the porch laughing at us and we were mad as can be. So we told Alice (big mouth) that we would get her. But after everything was over, we all had a big laugh.
