Growing Up with Love

By Mary Barth, January 5, 2015 — Our family owned 1 ½ acres in the mountains outside of San Diego when I was young. We used to go up there on the weekends to stay in a little shack that my Dad and my uncle had built. It had no running water and no indoor plumbing, so we had an outhouse and brought 5 gallon jugs of water with us from home. We enjoyed the pine trees, the quiet, and exploring in the woods. In the evenings our whole family played games and had so much fun. I have so many good memories, that it is impossible to choose just one. It was a wonderful family experience.
