Purpose and Metrics
Established in 2014 and relaunched in 2017 as a part of The Best Day of My Life So Far’s national expansion, the purpose of this merit-based professional network is to establish a national standard of excellence for older adult care and intergenerational engagement. The Council shines the spotlight on outstanding venues and individuals whose performance exemplifies Best Day’s 6 Metrics: Social Engagement, Technological Engagement, Intergenerational Engagement, Cognitive Activity, Reminiscence Activity, Emotional Expression.

If you are a professional who (a) supervises a Best Day group or (b) has completed a recent Best Day seminar, you are eligible to apply. Your application will be evaluated based on your proven ability to apply Best Day’s 6 Metrics in your work. When accepted, we will list your workplace alongside your name. Your membership can be revoked at any time if your performance falls below the Council’s standard of excellence. Apply here and we will get back to you within 3 weeks with a decision.
