A Day in the Life of an Airline Stewardess

By Freda, December 10, 2015 — In my early twenties, I was employed as an airline stewardess. I had a co-worker called Catherine who was very conservative and even a member of the John Birch Society. One day, our flight was in Boston, and we were getting ready to leave when a black limo showed up, and we learned that in it was President Kennedy on his way to DC. His plans had changed and he was going to be flying on our plane.

Our plane waited, of course, while JFK boarded. My co-worker and I both got to have some conversation with him on the flight. Her outlook on Catholics changed so much that she later married a former monk, and they had three kids.
